WE’RE A CREW OF CULTURE MOVERS AND SHAKERS, BRINGING HIGH-QUALITY CURATED ART TO THE NW BURBS OF CHICAGO.

The Spark Corps brings together the most passionate and talented young artists in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL.

Housed within the walls of Sparkerland, the only immersive arts venue in Lake County, our internship program offers exclusive perks to students age 14+ such as private critique nights, visiting artist series, and special programming. Students select a track of their choice, based on their interests, and set their own schedule.

Sparkerland is currently the only place teens can get a college-level art education before even starting college, all for free. Sparkerland is owned and operated by Sam Parker “Sparker” who has formerly taught at The Ohio State University, The University of Texas at Austin, and The Dayton Art Institute. Sparker has also been a visiting artist at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (IL), Binghamton University (NY), Kenyon College (OH), North Central College Naperville (IL), Southwestern University Georgetown (TX), and Vincennes University (IN), among others. Her work has been exhibited in museums, libraries, hospitals, hotels, and other institutions.
